As well the DLC in new vegas has more content overall than the DLCs of Fallout 3 IMO. On top of that, rather than a bunch of isolated quests with no bearing on each other or the greater world (ie, the DLC in fallout 3), the DLCs form another big storyline that follows/compliments the main storyline and are all connected to each other in
Fallout 3 is better than New Vegas. Fallout 3 on Xbox 360 runs perfect. New Vegas, crashes, bugs and freezes is frustrating. Fallout 3 has a lot of America, so patriotic. New Vegas , not much America I could be playing in Mexico or in the bland brown and sand color Mojave. Fallout 3 has flaws and New Vegas is better in some ways.

Fallout New Vegas has tons of references and connections to the two original games. A few employees from Obsidian Entertainment (FNV) helped develop Fallout and Fallout 2. Like Scott Everts; he was the lead world builder for Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout New Vegas. The collectable Evil Gnome in FNV is a reference to him.

Fallout 3 had a superior world design, save for the tunnels. Fuck the tunnels. The Capital Wasteland looked so much better than New Vegas. But that's really the only advantage. The story was worse, the characters were worse, the gameplay was worse. Bethesda are good at world design and that's it. Their writing is always as shallow as a puddle. Fallout 4's combat feels so much better in comparison, and it feels like I'm actually doing damage to enemies, whereas in New Vegas, all my weapons barely did anything. Fallout 4 feels a little easier than I would want though, so I might increase the difficulty and see how it goes. Also, the graphics in New Vegas were a complete eyesore to look at.
The companions. They are the best written NPCs in the game and they easily rival even FNV companions. Boston. Unlike F3 and FNV this game features a big city, open to exploration and with some degree of verticality. Some people may prefer city areas for their games and are therefore drawn to Fallout 4. Perk overhaul.
1. New Vegas is an rpg where as Fallout 4 is an action game, so people who prefer rpg's (which is what every mainline Fallout game before 4 was) will of course like New Vegas better. Fallout 4 shoehorns you into being the goodietwoshoes, there are no real options be be evil beyond that one raider dlc (and with that it gives you whiplash because
I’ll give 3 the better atmosphere. If Vegas had more of an overcast and dirtier lens to it that’s all it would need. New Vegas ain’t perfect but it is the closest thing I’ve ever gotten to my ideal fallout experience. I can not fucking wait for Fallout 4 New Vegas. I will build my first PC just for that mod.
The grittiness really adds to the depressing state the world is in. If you're wanting better graphics, install some mods or wait for the modpack for Fallout 4 which remasters New Vegas to drop. (Though you might die of old age before that project is completed as its a small team working on it.) 1. ArcFivesCT5555.
FO3 crashes much less, still crashes, but nearly as much as NV. FO3 has a much better world, as far as exploration. There's something around every corner. A cave, a camp, an old building. New Vegas seems to have fewer, with a worse landscape. Flat, open, brown. Both had a lot of bugs early on, though New Vegas clearly had it much worse at launch.
Fallout 3: Better world/atmosphere New Vegas: Better story/mechanics Personally I liked FO3 better. While the writing was far better in NV, the world was much more linear and essentially dictated where to go. I love the exploration and world building that FO3 offered and was a much more enjoyable experience. For Fallout 3 on the PC, a GameFAQs message board topic titled "How is Fallout 3 better than New Vegas?". Get the Witcher 3 and the dlc. So much better than Fallout 4. To be fair towards The Witcher 3, it is still widely seen as one of the best-rated games of all time while Fallout 4 is just up there in the sea of pretty good games. Fallout 4 isn't a bad game, but it is being compared to one of the best.
New Vegas plays more like classic Fallout games but that's in part due to what Bethesda did with Fallout 3. There's no denying that both games are amazing RPGs, but when it comes to which one is the better Fallout game, Fallout 3 just barely wins out. New Vegas provides a better narrative and paints a far better picture of life after a nuclear
